How To Fix Computer Errors In 15 Minutes Or Less?

This article outlines simple pragmatic steps to resolve many of the root causes of computer errors. Each recommendation can usually be implemented in less than 15 minutes.

Most Common Computer Errors - Computers have brought dramatic changes in our day to day lives, yet like any machine, they need regular maintenance and upgrade. Many users do not yet realise that the solution required to fix and prevent most computer errors are in fact really simple.

In the majority of cases, errors exist in the EXE, DLL and driver files. This occurs often due the fact that invalid or corrupt entries have been made in the registry. These files are important as they create entries in the registry, which are in turn used to operate the computer. When the registry becomes unstable or damaged, it will significantly slow down the computer, and will create random responses.

Run Defragmenter - To begin with, run a disk defragmenter. This operation stores the many parts of the many files on the hard disk closer together and contiguously.Using a defragmentation software frees up large region of space using compaction, and this makes it easier for the computer to find information on the hard disk and reduce computer errors.

Registry Scan - In order to fix computer errors in the registry, it is also advisable to complete periodic registry scans, as this enables unwanted data to be detected and subsequently deleted. Registry repair software are ideal to complete this operation easily. Users can choose from a variety of registry repair software, which can also complete many registry maintenance activities, for example remove malevolent software such as viruses and spyware, in addition, many of these same computer programs will also backup, scan and fix the registry and finally defragment the computer. Click on fix computer errors for more information.

Remove Spyware and Viruses - Spyware and virus programs create most of the computer errors. Computer viruses are malicious programs which often adversely impact computer performance. By contrast, spyware copy malicious programs onto the computer and this code is subsequently executed to steal confidential data. This code is frequently sent to third parties later for malicious use. A common sense approach is the best guarantee to fix computer errors due to viruses or spyware and this entails updating any anti-virus and anti-spyware tools. Click on adware and spyware removal for more information.

Fix Boot Sector - Faulty programs, in addition to virus infections can also damage computer boot sectors, and this can prevent the system from booting. In order to fix computer errors, which relate to booting, it is advisable to use the relevant operating system booting CD usually provided with your computer. For example, most XP users will be able to solve many problems with the Windows XP installation by using the relevant CD.

Upgrade Your RAM - Insufficient memory is another source of errors, which can lead to various computer problems. Some of these problems result in system crashes, blue screen, system hang, sudden restart or even crashing software programs. In order to fix computer errors which relate to memory, one can use free software that help solve RAM and memory related problems. These software tools greatly improve computer performance and are also very easy to use. Testing the memory of the computer is also recommended in that event.

How to fix a slow computer in less than 15 minutes?

There are many ways to speed up computers and improve their performance, this article covers simple steps that anyone can follow. Step 1 or Step 2 in this article can generally be implemented within 15 minutes with a PC or a Mac.

Step 1 -  Clean the computer registry

Slow computers often have errors in their registry. The registry is comparable to a nervous system. Its main function is to connect software hardware and computer files. Over time the performance of any computer reduces as errors accumulate in the registry, which can also become corrupted. Locating then fixing errors in the registry is therefore frequently required. Users could in theory attempt to cleanup the registry manually, however this method is not recommended as it requires deep knowledge of both the structure of the registry and its functions. Registry repair software are usually fast and reliable and offer overall, a better alternative to correct errors, delete unused files, poor links and deal with ActiveX components. Click on compare registry fix software for more information.

Step 2 - Delete and block adware and spyware

Another common reason leading to computers slowing-down, is the large number of spyware and adware, which are downloaded from the Internet, often without the users knowledge. Often, this takes place when peer to peer (P2P) networks are used to download videos and music for example. A straightforward solution to improve the speed of any computer is to use an anti spyware or adware program to scan, remove then block adware and spyware. In order to try out the right anti spyware or adware program, it is preferable to use a trial version which is usually free. Among the key features to consider are Ease of Download and Simplicity of Use, Automatic Backup, Quality of Customer Service, and of course the overall effectiveness of the software. The best software tend to be the simplest to use and rely on a research capability that constantly updates the software for new threats. Click on best adware spyware removal for more information.

Step 3 - Eliminate viruses

Unsurprisingly many computer viruses can slow down computers and drive down response times. Computer viruses must be deleted for two reasons, firstly they often damage files, secondly they tend to waste memory and disk space. By running the latest version of the best anti-virus programs, users should overcome these problems and be in a better position to improve their computer performance.

Step 4 - Simple housekeeping tasks

There are many simple housekeeping tasks which can be done to improve the speed of any computer, for example uninstalling any software that is not needed.  Stopping programs launching automatically is also useful to speed up any computer and is usually very straightforward. Small improvements can be expected from these simple tasks.

Step 5 - Optimise the Hard disk

For hard disks which are smaller than 2GB then at least 200MB of disk should be kept free and at least 500MB for larger hard disks. Computer speed also depend on the free space on the hard disk, as temporary files are placed there by computer software. This is also used for swapping files when the operating system needs to use virtual memory as it runs out of RAM. In that event, unless sufficient  space is free on the hard disk, the system slows down significantly. Disk scanning programs such as Scandisk for Windows can help check for errors on the hard disk. For example, whilst the hard drive may be large enough, the problem may be that it is too fragmented or that some of its sectors have been damaged. Defragmenting the hard disk is another action, which will improve the response time of any computer.

Step 6 - Optimising the RAM

Some programs are poorly designed and do not release RAM resources after they are closed. This reduces the RAM which is available for other programs. Running out of RAM too fast is not uncommon and users who have this problem should consider upgrading the memory on their computer. An alternative free option is simply to not run some computer programs at the same time as each other.

Step 7 - Stop the computer from overheating

Faulty fans are a common cause leading to the computer overheating, slowing down then freezing as a result. To overcome this problem, installing a new fan is the best solution which will reduce the computer’s temperature by increasing the airflow and ultimately improve response time.

How to fix a slow computer in less than 15 minutes?

This article covers simple steps that any user can follow to rapidly make any computer faster. Implementing either of the first two steps in this article should take less than 15 minutes using a PC or Mac.

Step 1 -  Clean the computer registry

Slow computers often have errors in their registry. The main functions of a registry are about connecting hardware, software and computer files. In practice therefore, the computer registry acts as the computer’s nervous system. Over time the performance of any computer reduces as errors accumulate in the registry, which can also become corrupted. A straightforward step is to locate any errors in the registry then repair them. Despite the fact that it is possible to repair the registry manually in theory, this method is not recommended. The main reason for this, is that it requires strong knowledge of the structure of the registry as well as its functions.

Typically this occurs when downloading videos, music or other files from peer to peer (P2P) networks. An easy solution to improve the response time of any computer is to run an anti spyware or adware program which will scan, remove then block adware and spyware. In order to try out the right anti spyware or adware program, it is preferable to use a trial version which is usually free. Ease of Download and Simplicity of Use, Automatic Backup, Quality of Customer Service, and of course the overall effectiveness of the software are the main features to consider.

Another tip is to stop programs launching automatically, as this will also improve the speed of the computer. These simple tasks generally produce marginal improvements.

Step 5 - Optimise the Hard disk

For hard disks which are smaller than 2GB then at least 200MB of disk should be kept free and at least 500MB for larger hard disks. The amount of free space on the hard drive is a key factor of performance as it is used by temporary files needed by software to run. This also enables the operating system to swap files using the hard disk as it runs out of RAM. In that event, unless sufficient  space is free on the hard disk, the system slows down significantly. Disk scanning programs such as Scandisk for Windows help scan for errors on the hard disk itself. For instance, your hard disk may be large enough but too fragmented and some disk sectors may have been damaged. Using a defragmentation program will also improve any computer’s speed.

Step 6 - Optimising the RAM

Some programs are poorly designed and do not release RAM resources after they are closed. This reduces the amount of memory available for other programs. Computers frequently run out of RAM after a while. In order to overcome this, ugrading the RAM is probably necessary. Another free option is to avoid using some computer programs simultaneously.

Step 7 - Stop the computer from overheating

Faulty fans are a common cause leading to the computer overheating, slowing down then freezing as a result. The best solution is often to replace the fan, this overcomes the problem by increasing the air flow through the computer thereby reducing its temperature and ultimately improving reponse times.

How to Fix Computer Errors In No More Than 15 Minutes?

This article provides practical steps to fix the most common causes of computer errors. Readers will usually need to set aside only 15 minutes for each recommendation.

Most Common Computer Errors - Computers have brought dramatic changes in our day to day lives, yet like any machine, they need regular maintenance and upgrade. Many tasks required to fix computer errors and prevent various computer errors are actually very simple.

In the majority of cases, errors exist in the EXE, DLL and driver files. This happens often as a result of corrupt or invalid entries in the registry. These files are of utmost importance as they create entries in the registry which are also used to operate the system. When the registry becomes unstable or damaged, it will significantly slow down the computer, and will create random responses.

Run Defragmenter - To begin with, run a disk defragmenter. This operation reorganizes the content of the disk to store the many parts of each file closer together and contiguously. The defragmenter program creates larger areas of free space through compaction and this means, that the computer can find data faster on the hard disk and in addtion reduce errors.

Registry Scan - In order to fix computer errors in the registry, it is also advisable to complete periodic registry scans, as this enables unwanted data to be detected and subsequently deleted. Many popular registry cleaning tools can help complete this operation easily. There are many registry repair programs which also have the functionality to complete registry maintenance tasks, for instance deleting undesirable programs such as viruses and spyware, scanning and fixing computer errors in the registry, in addition they can backup the computer registry and defragment the hard disk. Click on fix computer errors for more information.

Remove Spyware and Viruses - Spyware and virus programs create most of the computer errors. Computer viruses are malevolent software, which can also reduce computer response time. This contrasts with spyware, which often copy malevolent software onto the hard disk which are later used to steal confidential information. Often this code is later transmitted for further malicious use. Fixing computer errors requires a common sense approach, which entails updating any anti-spyware and antivirus tools. Click on adware and spyware removal for more information.

Fix Boot Sector - Faulty programs, in addition to virus infections can also damage computer boot sectors, and this can prevent the system from booting. Fixing computer errors, with occur when booting up the computer is best achieved by using the relevant operating system booting CD provided with most computers.

To fix computer errors which also relate to memory, users can download free programs which help solve RAM and issues related to memory. These software tools greatly improve computer performance and are also very easy to use. In addition, completing a computer memory test is also highly advisable.

How Can Any Computer User Verify The Real Popularity of Any Computer Optimization Software In 15 Minutes or Less?

Overview - This articles outlines a fast method for anyone to form their own opinion of the popularity of any computer optimization program (e.g. Registry fix software, registry cleaner software, error fixing software etc..). It also uses the real life example of a website dedicated to help users fix computer errors, which has already adopted this method for screening relevant software for further review.

Readers should be forewarned that this method is still new and imperfect, yet that it still represents a superior alternative to most of other approaches available .

The problem - Despite the range of software claiming to optimize computer performance, most computer users do not tend to rely on impartial information in order to verify the popularity of computer optimization software before making their purchase. This is problematic because computer optimization software which are not popular are either new, unproven or both. Either way they are riskier.

The options - Most users still rely on forums. Yet the problem with this approach is that forums provide, at best anecdotal evidence of the popularity of any software. Another obvious downside is the risk that participants to the forum may seek to just promote their own software instead of providing their independent opinion.

Software vendors’ sites provide another method. The trouble is that software vendors are obviously partial to their products, and this is the downside of using this method.

Independent sites which compare similar computer optimization software, for example Anti-virus programs, Registry Cleaning Software, Adware & Spyware removal programs etc…, represent another method. The challenge with this method is that the vast majority of these websites focus primarily on the detailed functionality and do not provide independent data on the real popularity of the software they are comparing.

So how can users looking to optimize their computer form their own independent opinion of the most popular software to purchase? (click on registry fix software example)

15 Minutes Method - A superior method is to look at the data provided by digital market places such as Clickbank for example, which is the largest of them all. There as several digital market place which sell many of the most popular computer optimization software and they give these software an indicator of popularity often called Gravity. In the main, Gravity is an indicator of the number of sales for a particular digital product over time. Software vendors have no influence on the Gravity measure that Clickbank calculate and compare across any range of digital products. This indicator is therefore a good independent measure of popularity. Anyone can independently verify the real popularity of any computer optimization software visiting Clickbank or another digital marketplace. In spite of the fact that the method has inherent limitations (i.e not all Computer Optimization Software are sold via Clickbank), it is still one of the most accessible to follow independently.

Example - Some software review sites have adopted this method and are now referring to the Clickbank popularity of the digital products that they are also reviewing independently (Click on fix registry errors for a live example).

HOW TO SPEED UP YOUR COMPUTER IN LESS THAN 15 MINUTES

Optimising the performance of any computer is easier than many users think. This article provides simple steps to speed up any computer quickly. PC or Mac users should be able to implement either of the first two steps in this article in less than 15 minutes.

Step 1 -  Clean the computer registry

Slow computers often have errors in their registry. The registry is comparable to a nervous system. Its main function is to connect software hardware and computer files. Over time, errors occur and this slows down computers, frequently their registry become corrupted. A straightforward step is to locate any errors in the registry then repair them. Despite the fact that it is possible to repair the registry manually in theory, this method is not recommended. The main reason for this, is that it requires strong knowledge of the structure of the registry as well as its functions. Using a registry cleaner software is a faster, more reliable option to eliminate errors, redundant files, incorrect links and deal with ActiveX components. Click on fix computer registry for more information.

Step 2 - Delete and block adware and spyware

Another common reason leading to computers slowing-down, is the large number of spyware and adware, which are downloaded from the Internet, often without the users knowledge. This happens particularly often, when peer to peer networks are being used to download music and videos for example. An easy solution to improve the response time of any computer is to run an anti spyware or adware program which will scan, remove then block adware and spyware. In order to try out the right anti spyware or adware program, it is preferable to use a trial version which is usually free. The overall effectiveness of the software is obviously the main feature to consider, however other features are also important such as Ease of Download and Simplicity of Use, Automatic Backup, Quality of Customer Service. The best software tend to be the simplest to use and rely on a research capability that constantly updates the software for new threats. Click on best adware spyware removal for more information.

Step 3 - Eliminate viruses

Unsurprisingly many computer viruses can slow down computers and drive down response times. Computer viruses often damage files, can consume excessive amount of memory and take a large amount of space on the hard disk. Running the latest version of some of the leading anti-virus software should overcome these problems and users who do so will be in a stronger position to improve the performance of their computer.

Step 4 - Simple housekeeping tasks

There are many simple housekeeping tasks which can be done to improve the speed of any computer, for example uninstalling any software that is not needed.  Alternatively, stopping programs to launch automatically can also improve the performance of any computer. Marginal improvements usually result from these simple tasks.

Step 5 - Optimise the Hard disk

For hard disks which are smaller than 2GB then at least 200MB of disk should be kept free and at least 500MB for larger hard disks. Computer speed also depend on the free space on the hard disk, as temporary files are placed there by computer software. This also enables the operating system to swap files using the hard disk as it runs out of RAM. The system can slow down significantly in that event, if space on the hard disk is insufficient. Disk scanning programs such as Scandisk for Windows help scan for errors on the hard disk itself. For instance the hard disk may be too fragmented and some of its sectors may be damaged, and this can create problems even if the hard drive is large enough. Running a defragmentation program is another step that can be completed to improve  the speed of any computer.

Step 6 - Optimising the RAM

Some programs are poorly designed and do not release RAM resources after they are closed. This reduces the amount of memory available for other programs. Running out of RAM too fast is not uncommon and users who have this problem should consider upgrading the memory on their computer. Alternatively running certain programs simultaneously should also be avoided, this option is of course free.

Step 7 - Stop the computer from overheating

Faulty fans are a common cause leading to the computer overheating, slowing down then freezing as a result. Installing a new fan is the best solution to overcome this problem, as this increases the air flow through the computer thereby reducing the machine’s temperature and improving its performance.

How to optimise computer performance in 15 minutes or less

This article covers simple steps that any user can follow to rapidly make any computer faster. PC or Mac users should be able to implement either of the first two steps in this article in less than 15 minutes.

Step 1 -  Clean the computer registry

Slow computers often have errors in their registry. The main functions of a registry are about connecting hardware, software and computer files. In practice therefore, the computer registry acts as the computer’s nervous system. Typically the computer registry becomes more prone to errors over time, is frequently corrupted, and this slows down the computer. Locating then fixing errors in the registry is therefore frequently required. Users could in theory attempt to cleanup the registry manually, however this method is not recommended as it requires deep knowledge of both the structure of the registry and its functions.

Often, this takes place when peer to peer (P2P) networks are used to download videos and music for example. One of the simplest solutions to improve any computer’s speed is to use an anti spyware or adware software to scan, remove and block these unwanted threats. Before buying any anti spyware or adware software it is best to use the trial version which is often free.

Running the latest version of the best anti-virus programs will fix many of the problems which are detrimental to computer performance.

Step 4 - Simple housekeeping tasks

There are many simple housekeeping tasks which can be done to improve the speed of any computer, for example uninstalling any software that is not needed.  Alternatively, stopping programs to launch automatically can also improve the performance of any computer. These simple tasks generally produce marginal improvements.

Step 5 - Optimise the Hard disk

For hard disks which are smaller than 2GB then at least 200MB of disk should be kept free and at least 500MB for larger hard disks. This freed up space is an important factor of computer speed as it is used by temporary files which software require to work effectively. This free space also enables your computer to swap files as the computers starts using virtual memory (when it runs out of RAM). In that event, unless sufficient  space is free on the hard disk, the system slows down significantly. Disk scanning programs such as Scandisk for Windows , can also help check for errors on the hard disk itself. For instance whilst some hard disks may be large enough, they may be too fragmented with some sectors being unusable. Running a defragmentation program is another step that can be completed to improve  the speed of any computer.

Step 6 - Optimising the RAM

Some programs are poorly designed and do not release RAM resources after they are closed. This adversely impacts the RAM available for other programs.

To overcome this problem, replacing the fan is the most pragmatic solution. The effect should be immediate as this will increase the flow of air through the computer, thereby reducing the computer’s temperature and increasing its speed as a result.

Anyone Can Check The Popularity Of Any Computer Optimisation Software In 15 Minutes or Less!

Overview - This article draws attention to a fast method that anyone can use to independently review the popularity of any Computer Optimization Software (e.g. Registry fix software, registry cleaner software, error fixing software etc..). It also uses the real life example of a website dedicated to help users fix computer errors, which has already adopted this method for screening relevant software for further review.

Readers should be made aware of the fact that, whilst the method described in this article is still new and imperfect it can still be used to their advantage.

The problem - Despite the range of software claiming to optimize computer performance, most computer users do not tend to rely on impartial information in order to verify the popularity of Computer Optimization Software before making their purchase. This is a challenge as computer optimization software which are not popular may be either new, or unproven or both, are therefore riskier.

The options - Most users still rely on forums. One key challenge with this method is that forums can (at best) provide anecdotal evidence of the perceived popularity of any Computer Optimization Program, another disadvantage is that some forum members may just be promoting their products instead of sharing their independent opinion.

Another method is to visit software vendors’ sites. The obvious problem with this method is that the vendors are partial to the software they are selling.

Another option, is to review independent sites, which usually compare several computer optimization software in the same category for instance Anti-Virus software, Registry Repair Software, Anti Adware/ Spyware software etc… A major challenge with this method is that by and large, these sites focus their attention almost exclusively on the detailed technical features of the software they are comparing, and do not provide independent information on their popularity as they lack the data to do so.

So how can users looking to optimize their computer form their own independent opinion of the most popular software to purchase? (Click on the registry fix software example)

15 Minutes Method - A superior method is to look at the data provided by digital market places such as Clickbank for example, which is the largest of them all. Many of the most popular Computer Optimization Software are sold at least partly through digital market places and are given an indicator of popularity known as Gravity. Gravity is an indicator, which is linked to the volume of sales for a particular program over a period of time. Clickbank compute and compare the Gravity score of any digital product independently from any software vendor. Gravity is therefore a good independent measure of popularity. Any user will be able to verify independently if any Computer Optimization Software is popular by visiting Clickbank, alternatively any other major digital marketplace.

How To Verify The Real Popularity of Any Computer Optimization Software In 15 Minutes or Less?

Overview - This article describes a fast method that anyone can use to independently assess the popularity of any Computer Optimization Software (e.g.

The problem - Never has the choice of Computer optimization Programs been so large, yet most computer users do not tend to rely on impartial information to verify the popularity of computer optimization software before buying their preferred solution. This is a problem because Computer Optimization Software, which are not popular may be new, unproven or both and are therefore riskier than more popular ones.

The options - Most users still rely on forums. This method is problematic, in that forums only provide anecdotal evidence of the popularity of any software, another challenge is the risk that participants will promote their own products using forums rather than share any independent perspective.

Software vendors’ sites provide another method. The obvious problem with this method is that the vendors are partial to the software they are selling.

Independent sites which compare similar computer optimization software, for example Anti-virus programs, Registry Cleaning Software, Adware & Spyware removal programs etc…, represent another method. A major challenge with this method is that by and large, these sites focus their attention almost exclusively on the detailed technical features of the software they are comparing, and do not provide independent information on their popularity as they lack the data to do so.

So what is the method, which can empower the users to establish the popularity of any computer optimization software independently? (Click on the registry fix software example)

15 Minutes Method - A superior method is to look at the data provided by digital market places such as Clickbank for example, which is the largest of them all. Many of the most popular Computer Optimization Software are sold at least partly through digital market places and are given an indicator of popularity known as Gravity. In the main, Gravity is an indicator of the number of sales for a particular digital product over time. Software vendors have no influence on the Gravity measure that Clickbank calculate and compare across any range of digital products. However imperfect, this indicator is a good independent way to measure popularity. Any user will be able to verify independently if any Computer Optimization Software is popular by visiting Clickbank, alternatively any other major digital marketplace. Despite the fact that even this method has its own limitation (i.e. Clickbank does not sell all Computer Optimization Programs), it is one that can be followed independently by anyone.

Example - Some software review sites have adopted this method and are now referring to the Clickbank popularity of the digital products that they are also reviewing independently (Click on fix registry errors for a live example).

Over time the performance of any computer reduces as errors accumulate in the registry, which can also become corrupted. A straightforward step is to locate any errors in the registry then repair them. Click on fix computer registry for more information.

Step 2 - Delete and block adware and spyware

Another common reason leading to computers slowing-down, is the large number of spyware and adware, which are downloaded from the Internet, often without the users knowledge. This usually happens when peer to peer networks are involved, for example when downloading videos and music. An easy solution to improve the response time of any computer is to run an anti spyware or adware program which will scan, remove then block adware and spyware. It helps to test the relevant anti spyware or adware program by downloading a trial version as most of them are free. The main features to consider are Ease of Download and Simplicity of Use, Automatic Backup, Quality of Customer Service, and the overall effectiveness of the software. The best software tend to be the simplest to use and rely on a research capability that constantly updates the software for new threats. Click on best adware spyware removal for more information.

Step 3 - Eliminate viruses

Unsurprisingly many computer viruses can slow down computers and drive down response times. Often viruses damage computer files and use excessive resources such as large amount RAM and disk space.

Another simple step to improve computer speed is to stop programs launching automatically. These simple tasks generally produce marginal improvements.

Step 5 - Optimise the Hard disk

For hard disks which are smaller than 2GB then at least 200MB of disk should be kept free and at least 500MB for larger hard disks. This free space is an important contributor of your computer speed as it is used by temporary files placed there by computer programs. This is also used for swapping files when the operating system needs to use virtual memory as it runs out of RAM. In that event, unless sufficient  space is free on the hard disk, the system slows down significantly. Disk scanning programs such as Scandisk for Windows , can also help check for errors on the hard disk itself. For instance, your hard disk may be large enough but too fragmented and some disk sectors may have been damaged. Using a defragmentation program will also improve any computer’s speed.

Step 6 - Optimising the RAM

Some programs are poorly designed and do not release RAM resources after they are closed. This means that other programs have less memory to run.

To overcome this problem, replacing the fan is the most pragmatic solution. The effect should be immediate as this will increase the flow of air through the computer, thereby reducing the computer’s temperature and increasing its speed as a result.
