Brother Fights Epson To Earn Your Business
Sometimes it seems like there are tens of thousands of brands out there to purchase in the digital world. It can actually be very overwhelming to go out intending to purchase something like a desktop, laptop, printer, or even ink cartridges. Since many of these companies talk about the products they are selling in very technical terms, there’s a good chance that you won’t understand what they are really saying unless you are in the technology business already. In this article, there are two long-standing brands that we’ll talk about. This should help you decide which of these two brands are better for you; Epson or Brother.
Epson
Epson is a Japan-based company. It began creating watch parts back in 1942 and has since expanded to manufacture a variety of technological products, including printers. They developed a dot matrix printer that reached surprisingly high levels of popularity back in 1978, and they’ve been creating many of the most popular printers available on the market since then.
Buying an Epson printer also gets you a printer from company with experience, since they’ve been manufacturing printers for over thirty years. Their printers last a long time, and their printers and ink cartridges are knkown for generating surprisingly high quality images. They carry a variety of printers, including the wildly popular wireless ones, and their printers are often seen in business settings due to the sturdiness of the units.
Brother
Much like Epson, Brother Industries is also based in Japan. Back in 1908, their company began by manufacturing sewing machines. Through expansion, they have since become known for a wide variety of electronics, including, but not limited to, printers, ink cartridges, fax machines, and typewriters.
Brother printers are sometimes seen as being the less expensive printer option, but that doesn’t mean that they’re cheap by any means. Sometimes, Brother printers don’t have casing that is as sturdy as the Epson printers, but they work just as well internally as more expensive printers do. These are great printers for the house, but you don’t see them very often in businesses. Most likely because these products are geared towards home use.
Which is Best?
As it turns out, choosing between Epson and Brother isn’t really all that hard. For those looking for a printer for their home office, or especially for those who want one for a business, Epson is a strong choice. They have higher quality printers that can withstand the extra stress of printing in larger quantities or frequencies on a regular basis. In order to get the most of your Epson printer, make sure to purchase high quality Epson ink cartridges. For home use at a great price, though, Brother printers beat Epson printers. They are inexpensive to purchase and their ink cartridges are also often very inexpensive to purchase. If you are looking to purchase a printer for your home, both Epson and Brother are great options, although Epson does tend to have the wireless market covered a bit more thoroughly than Brother currently does, but that can all change very quickly, as Brother has always been a contender in the technology market.
