Do You Need An Office Printer

If you’re building a business, you are well alert to your personal equipment needs as well as precisely what it takes to control a prosperous workplace today. Obviously any kind of office is going to be filled up with the typical computers, phone gear and top quality models including the Brother HL 7050N or something along comparable lines as this. In this article, we’re mainly planning to discuss some of the elements that you need to look for when researching an average business printer to meet the needs of the fast paced company surroundings.

First of all, you should consider whether you need just one performance printer or perhaps an all-in-one printer. Consider the needs you have as to do with printing, copying, and faxing. There could be very good motives to buy these kinds of devices separately, but these days you certainly can discover very inexpensive printers which perform these types of functions and then some. There are also printers that have the ability to read and print from scan cards that go straight into your digital camera for instance, so you can print pictures soon after taking them. A lot of all-in-one printers also include an email function which may be excellent for sending files to someone who doesn’t have an actual fax device.

Next you should think about your current precise printing requirements for the business office. When you will be doing a lot of printing you need to think about the paper capacity as well as the highest per month duty cycle. The Brother 7050N, as an example, includes a  five hundred sheet input capacity which will end up being pretty standard in an workplace printer. Typically, you’ll be best served should you select a printer having an input capacity which will have you adding papers only once a week to help with productiveness throughout the office.

The actual printer’s optimum regular duty cycle amount will show you the amount of pages that may be printed every month without damaging the actual printer. When the printer you are looking at does not give you a particular quantity for this suggestion, one of the ways it is possible to determine this roughly would be to pick a printer which has a highest duty cycle which is at least 3 times that of the number of pages you expect to print approximately each month.

One other thing to think about is whether or not you require a printer that prints in color or just black and white. If you’re mainly printing text docs which do not have graphics or the requirement for color, you will most probably do better to obtain a high end monochrome type printer. If you want to produce artwork though, a great color printer can offer extremely skilled looking work as well.

Whether you choose the HL 7050N, or another high quality office printer, do take the time to research all your options online. Brother happens to be a well respected and high quality brand with regards to printers, however there are also others that you may want to consider. It is well worth it to study a few buyer evaluations and even enter an company supply store to speak to a salesperson regarding the pro and cons of a specific machine prior to making your own ultimate decision and purchase.

What’s The Big Deal With Fake Ink?

Ink for my Canon MX310 runs around 24 bucks for 13 mL of ink. If each mL costs around $1.80, by those figures, then printer ink costs an eye-opening $1,800 per liter.

Ink is part a higly lucractive business for the printer manufacturers called captive-product pricing. Because they make so little off the sale of a printer, comapnies like Samsung, Kodak and Canon recoup their margins in the sale of ink.

Any profitable brand name lures counterfeiters and fakers. In the tradition of fake Louis Vuitton purses and cheap Rolex watches, an epidemic of fake printer ink has been spreading over the country.

A fake ink cartridge can actually be a bigger problem than a fake Rolex, however, because a fake Rolex just sits there and is fake. It doesn’t cause any more damage, unlike fake ink cartridges, which are prone to leaking ink, exploding while in the printer, smudging and running over printed sheets and creating jams in the printer. This often puts consumers out of not only the cost of the fake ink cartridges, but the cost of a new printer after their old one is ruined.

These fake ink cartridges are usually manufactured in China, Malaysia or the Philippines, then shipped overseas to buyers eager for a discount. Then, they are usually distributed to midsize ink distributors to unwittingly pass them on to consumers or smaller distributors. Midsize ink distributors are used because it makes the counterfeit ink more difficult to trace, particularly when a single consumer has a problem with their ink and may need to trace it backwards through several middlemen.

In Latin and South America, the problem is far worse than in the US, where authorities estimate that as much as 50% of all ink cartridges sold are counterfeit. The current numbers in the US are closer to 5%.

The best way to avoid this plague is to buy from a licensed distributor or a reputable third-party distributor. Their products are almost always refilled and recyled manufacturer cartridges. Their margins are lower and aren’t necessarily branded, so the counterfeiters aren’t making fakes for them (not yet at least).

If you got brand name ink at a significant discount, you should check the packaging and ink cartridge itself for anything that looks out of the ordinary like misprinted labels or weak seams.

Features And Review Of The Canon MX310

For a graduation present, I received a Canon Pixma MX310 All-In-One a few years ago. I have owned one for several years and would like to take this moment to share my opinion on the printer’s worth to establish a buying suggestion.

As is the standard for All-in-one printers, the MX310 can Print, Scan, Copy and Fax. I am familiar with all of the printer’s components except for the Fax feature. I will talk about each feature individually and then discuss a few other printer considerations.

Printing with the MX310 is a snap. The software and manual are comprehensive and simple to get through and I was able to successfully connect the printer and print off a test document within minutes of opening the printer. Printing is reasonably fast and doesn’t seem as prone to jams as other printers on the market. Ink usage is rather high, unfortunately, and the ink cartridges cannot be refilled like many other popular models. Replacement ink is not badly priced online, however, where it can be found for as little as $22 from a reputable dealer like 4inkjets. For the tech geeks, it prints up to 600×600 dpi in monochrome at 22 pages/minute and 4800×1200 dpi in color at 17 pages/minute.

Copying is also easy. The ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) is reliable and holds up to 30 pages comfortably.. Quality, of course, is great, as would be expected from Canon-branded anything. The copying of photos to high-quality photo paper results in photos that are almost impossible to pick out from professionally-developed stills.

Scanning produces similar high-quality results. The scanning feature, however, has always given me cause for an issue. I always have trouble shfiting the printer into scanning mode. Sometimes I have to press the scan button several times and just sort of wait for the printer to decide when it wants to go into scan mode. After the scanning is complete, the quality, however, is great.

I don’t have any experience with the fax component. From what i’ve read online, reviews seem to be mixed. The MX310’s lack of fax options is a high point of dismay, but the 20-number fax storage capacity is appreciated. I would really suggest you try elsewhere for information about the fax’s specific capabilities.

The biggest problem I have with the printer is its large size. The thing is huge. It extends over most of my desk! Not even my laptop fits on the desk if the printer is in place. I’ve used a variety of printers, so I can also say that the printer is relatively loud. The cartridge will probably still have around 30-40 pages of printing left in it when the low ink-refill light comes up. It’s not very eco-friendly, and I hope it wasn’t intentional on Canon’s part.

Pros: Good quality, very efficient.

Cons: Uses a lot of ink, can’t use ink refill kits, difficult to find space for.

Final Verdict: A 3 out of 5. Although the printer has high prodcutivity, I just can’t afford to keep replacing ink at the rate I do, and the large size makes it difficult to fit onto a desk. It is a decent printer, but when I buy my next model, I will definitely look for something less space and ink-consuming.

Cheap Ink Cartridges, Where To Find Them, And How To Install Them

Out of ink and need a refill? Here are some steps to take to ensure the ink-replacement process is as simple as possible.

1. Now you’ll need to know where you could find a cheap ink cartridge to replace the used up one, and to do that, you need to know which model your printer is. As far as printer ink is concerned, ‘one size fits all’ is a really bad rule of thumb. An HP printer will have a very different replacement cartridge compared to a Canon printer and even different Canon printers will have a different size and shape to their respective ink cartridges. Your specific printer name should be visible directly on it. My printer is a Canon MX310.

2.Ascertain the best method of opening up and removing the ink cartridges. The cartridge loading bay is usually opened by some sort of switch or button on the printer.Checking the owner’s manual is also a possibility. If you threw out the owner’s manual for your printer, you can always use a search engine to search for the name of your printer and the word ‘manual’. I would do a Google search for information about ‘Canon MX310 manual’ if i wanted to find a copy of that online and read the portion dedication to changing used-up ink.

3.Carefully remove the old ink cartridge. If the black ink is out, the color cartridge may still be good, so make sure which ones you have to replace. Sometimes there’s loose ink that could stain your hands, so watch out for that.

4.Make sure you secure a trusted vendor of replacement cheap ink cartridges. You could always buy your ink directly from the manufacturer, but you’re definitely gonna pay more if you do that. I’ll give you a link to the place I usually buy my ink cartridges from in a little bit-they’re really good and I’ve never had a problem with them! J

5.Once the ink catrdiges arrive in the mail, you can remove the packaging and take the first piece of adhesive off the ink container. Hold them in the correct position and put them where the old cartridges were. You should have little trouble sliding it in and securing it in place. If you need a visual guide, there may be pictures in your manual or on your printer.

5.Close the printer cover and print a test page to ensure that the replacement cheap ink cartridge has been engaged. The printer may print this page without your prompting.

Congratulations! That’s pretty much the end of the work involved with changing out, finding and reinstalling a cheap ink cartridge . By the way, that link above is the link for the reliable site I mentioned earlier

How To Lower Your Printer Costs

Do you wish you could lower expenses for your small business in the copyroom? This handy checklist will help you lower company costs by lowering printing and ink costs.

1. Make sure everyone in the company knows how to use all the different printing settings and features. Reducing font sizes, changing margins, making double sided copies and printing selections are all measures than can be taken and employed by your office to cut costs. When color isn’t necessary for the document’s meaning, encourage and demonstrate use of the ‘print color in black and white’ feature found in the print settings. Black ink is much cheaper than color ink.

2. Things like the print preview feature should be used by everyone in the office to look at their documents before they print them to check for glaring errors that can easily be fixed before wasting paper.

3. Consider investing in a laser printer instead of an inkjet printer. Laserjets save more money because they print pages at between 1 and 3 cents a page, but an inkjet can cost as much as 4 to 12 cents per page. You’ll pay more for a Laserjet, but then the savings will add up as your company saves money on every individual piece of paper printed.

4. Printer-friendly versions on web pages are useful options if you’re looking to print directly from the web, so remind your officemates about that. There are often fewer or no pictures on these pages, so the total printing cost will be lower.

5. If using an inkjet printer, take advantage of ink refills at discounted prices and order cheap ink cartridges online from places like 4inkjets.

6. Electronic copies via email should be employed as often as possible instead of printing papers for inter-office use. Instead of printing a hard copy, use a flash drive to store that rough draft until it’s finalized.

Using these tips in your office will probably see slow results at first, but if everyone works together, the cost savings and overall green effect will have a very positive impact.

I like 4inkjets.com. They always have good deals on cheap ink cartridges.

HP Printers have an App Store

HP has been hard at work at its printer division, with lots of innovations. Consider their latest - the HP all-in-one Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web (what a long name that one is). Firstly, it’s an inkjet printer, not a laser. And so, you know it’ll be affordable. An advantage of it is, that it is practically a mini computer - it is WiFi enabled, it can connect directly to the Internet without a separate computer, and it comes with its own tiny 4.3″ LCD screen for previews. So what does it do connecting to the web?  It actually uses printer apps, to assist you decide more often that hitting the Print button would have been a good idea. It would be wonderful if these apps wouldwork on all existing HP printers ; maybe they will one day. As of this moment, it’s just this one HP printer that does it.

So what do the apps do? The apps are made by companies like Google, USA Today, and DreamWorks; plus they are meant to assist you print things like coupons, photos or Google maps and webpages much better. Everyone knows that the printer companies make much more money on ink sales, then they do selling you a $250 printer. In case you have apps that make it much easier that you can print everything, there’s sure to become a great deal for HP’s bottom line. So what is it like using this innovative printer? You will get your pictures to the printer in variety of ways, and one of the better ones is using its card reader. The printer still takes about two minutes to print a full size photo that is 8″ x 11″, which while slow, is still okay, considering how great the picture quality is. Among the many accessible strategies of hair removal, you can find two that had been gaining sustained interest and battling it out for customer patronage: electrolysis and laser hair removal. Both have been proven to significantly trigger permanent hair reduction for a time frame compared to other methods.

The Xerox Phaser employs an innovative solid ink technology to generate loading ink super easy. It also attributes the quick color printing and only a five second wait time for that earliest page to print. This higher quality, simple to use printer provides several capabilities that you’ll typically discover in higher priced laser printers.

Networking comes regular using the Xerox model and installation is fairly significantly plug and play. The printer characteristics automated driver installation as soon as you might be connected towards the device. You have total manage more than the printer’s attributes and settings from the computer system screen using the integrated web server. Computer software also monitors the printing method and will alert you whenever an matter arises.

Electrolysis had been identified to become an invasive approach that uses a needle penetrating deep into the skin to come in contact while using the hair follicle. Meanwhile, laser hair treatment simple operates by penetrating skin with laser light energy as a result of a simple tool. Electrolysis had been known to have brought on electric shock because the present flows through the needle. Laser erradication even though won’t exhibit this adverse effect besides sensitivity and irritation issues.

The printer attributes a speedy 30 pages a minute and can print the very first copy in as tiny as 5 seconds. Two further trays might be stacked on the bottom for approximately 1675 sheets of continuous printing.

Of course, people would choose the a single that would initiate much less pain. As laser treatment does not invade your skin directly, there would be no painful stimulus felt. Only a tingling sensation similar to a rubber band becoming snapped on the skin. On the other hand, electrolysis causes a painful stimulus with every single removing hair due to the sensory nerve ending present which are becoming touched throughout the penetration process.

Xerox - Its Journey with Ink

Chester Carlson inventor of xerography founded the Haloid Company on April 18, 1935. The corporate manufactured and sold photographic paper! It absolutely was based in Rochester New York.

Within the year 1942 Carlson received U.S. patent No. two,297,691 on Oct. six for electrophotography, later referred to as xerography, the technology that revolutionized the planet of imaging.

Xerox as it is known today was trademarked in 1948 when Haloid and Battelle Development Corp. announced the development of xerography.

The first ever copier- Model A or Ox Box, based on xerography was given to the globe by Xerox in the year 1949! Nowadays it manufactures printers for workplace and residential use as well as high volume printers, wide format printers and digital printing presses and afcoarse all the supplies that accompany these equipments! They conjointly provide services such as document management, assessment and asset management services among a variety of other services!

Xerox pioneered work on the carbon-based organic toner during the 1950’s and nowadays it boasts of developing a chemically grown toner – Emulsion Aggregation, in brief Xerox has been and still is the market leader in copiers, toners and Inks!

It is No.one in digital production color and No. a pair of in office color. Xerox conjointly manufactures compatible cartridges and claims to be a high quality various to Hewlett-Packard cartridges!
Xerox manufactures and markets a range of   monochrome and colored copiers, fax machines, printers and presses.

Technology:

Xerox Research Center Canada conducts basic and applied materials analysis in toners, inks, photoreceptors and specialty substrates to support xerographic and direct printing technologies.

Solid Ink

Solid ink remains in solid type until heated to a very specific temperature therefore that it turns to liquid, then instantly turns back to solid when printed. An exact stainless-steel print head with small holes smaller than somebody’s hair applies the solid ink to the printing media. The print head homes 1,236 nozzles jetting a lot of than 30 million drops per second. The print head jets the ink to a heated drum where it remains during a malleable state that ensures precise transfer to the paper.
This reduces the number of ink that’s absorbed into the paper fibers and controls dot spread.

The brain behind such precise management is that the Phaser controller, which is based on a 600 MHz processor and a high-speed sixty four-bit bus.

A solid ink printer consists of only 3 major parts- the print head that applies ink to print drum, the print drum that transfers image to paper and also the controller, which is that the brain of the printer that converts knowledge from the pc to data required to print the image on paper. Add a cupboard and a paper tray and you have a solid ink printer.

With print quickens to thirty pages per minute, and first-page-out inside six seconds, the solid ink printer can be three times faster than a comparably priced laser printer.
Benefits of solid ink printers is they furnish outstanding print quality, 90% less waste as compared to other competitive printers within the market, prints up to sixteen pages on a single sheet saving paper and it’s Energy Star compliant.

Emulsion Aggregation Toner

It’s the breakthrough technology developed by Xerox Analysis Center Canada and patented by Xerox. This technology uses a chemical method to grow toner particles with well-defined shapes.

Extraordinarily tiny particles of the components that create up toner are placed together during a water-primarily based atmosphere and allowed to bond, and then grow. This simplifies the control of the size and form of toner particles. Once the particles reach their target size, they are far from the growth environment. This growth process of completely organic matter requires fewer steps and consumes less energy, creating it a lot of a lot of environmentally friendly.

One major advantage is that cost isn’t a limiting issue in producing EA toner thanks to the actual fact that there is no exponential relation between value and toner particle size! Moreover, this in flip is due to very less energy consumption during the particle growth phase.

Flexographic printing inks applied to the thermal paper.

Thermal paper is cleaner than your standard ink, produces a crisper resolution, and is ultimately cheaper. Though thermal paper was once considerably additional expensive, the price has come back down lately, thanks in part to raised technology that enables its makers to produce it at a more cheap cost. Moreover, a thermal paper roll is quieter than bond paper, which is one more bonus for any shopper at the end of an extended day.

Most direct thermal papers require a protecting topcoating to:

* Reduce fading of the thermal image caused by exposure to UV light-weight, water, oils, grease, lard, fats, plasticizers, and similar causes
* Offer improved printhead wear
* Scale back or eliminate residue from the thermal coating on the thermal printheads
* Offer higher anchorage of flexographic printing inks applied to the thermal paper
* Focus the heat from the thermal printhead on the active coating.

Thermal paper is paper that is impregnated with a chemical that changes color when exposed to heat. It is used in thermal printers and particularly in low cost, light-weight devices like adding machines, money registers, and mastercard terminals.

The paper is impregnated with a solid-state mixture of a dye and a appropriate matrix; a combination of a fluoran leuco dye and an octadecylphosphonic acid is an example. When the matrix is heated higher than its melting point, the dye reacts with the acid, shifts to its colored type, and the modified type is then conserved in metastable state when the matrix solidifies back quickly enough.

Most printer makers provide ribbon/label combos that are known to figure well together, that is significantly necessary as some combos manufacture no image at all. Plastic labels with resin ribbons will survive outside in full sunlight, can stand immersion in water and may be proof against chemicals and oils captivated with type. Typically used in Automotive and Aircraft elements manufacture, any things stored outside and essential for the labelling of hazardous chemicals that must stay identifiable, for instance, after being submerged in sea water for extended periods.

The sort of thermal paper you choose depends largely on the specifics of your business. The width, length, and grade of thermal paper varies widely relying on the manufacturer and the type of machine the paper is used for. Many on-line wholesalers, but, can customize your order therefore that you simply get the product you would like to keep correct records of all of your transactions.
